12 Fantasy Novels That Deserve The Game Of Thrones Treatment

Season six of HBO’s Game of Thrones is set to air later this month. Looking back, it’s kind of surprising (but totally awesome) that a show about dragons, medieval politics and the coolest dwarf this side of Middle-Earth is one of the biggest things on TV. With Game of Thrones making fantasy cool for mainstream viewers, it got us thinking about other great fantasy novels that deserve a chance to shine on the small screen....

12 Inch Macbook Refresh Boosts Mac Shipments In Q2 But Still Down 23 Year On Year

This year’s refresh of the 12-inch MacBook helped Apple achieve a 30% increase in Mac shipments in Q2, according to TrendForce data, but its shipments for the first half of the year were still down 23.4% on last year’s numbers … Apple now has a 7.9% share of the laptop market, sitting in fifth place behind Lenovo, HP, Dell and Asus. Apple remains ahead of Acer, Samsung and Toshiba. TrendForce notes that laptop sales usually peak in the second half of the year thanks to back-to-school and holiday purchases, and Apple should benefit particularly strongly as it finally updates the MacBook Pro range, which has not been refreshed since spring of last year....

10 Movies That Promised Sequels That Never Happened

In the age of franchise-building filmmaking, major studios have been dashing out to create movies from established IP, in hopes of setting up the next big franchise. So, it is commonplace in cinemas and streaming platforms to find potential franchise starters. This is where the term “sequel bait” is applied for those movies that are blatantly designed or subtly hinted to establish future sequels and followups. So, it can be an awkward nonstarter if such movies fall flat on first impression and yet (perfectly) teased a followup that never happened....

Here, we’re looking at one season wonders that span several genres and have achieved various levels of notoriety for their quick cancellations....

10 Powerful Movies About Single Mothers

Parenthood, in any form, isn’t an easy job. Sometimes, no matter how good you do or how many books you read, your kids can still turn out like psychos. But that job is only made more difficult when you are forced to do it alone. For some people, even the thought of parenting with someone makes the idea no less frightening. Bringing a life into this world, then spending the rest of yours to make sure theirs is good is daunting....

After years of Back and forth between Ezra Miller and Warner Bros, we’re finally getting a Flash movie set to premiere in July of 2022. 12 Inch Macbook Month Review A Great New Mac If You Manage Your Expectations Video

For the last month, I’ve been using Apple’s new 12-inch Retina MacBook almost exclusively. There’s no denying that’s it’s underpowered when compared to other models on the market, but is its portability worth the performance sacrifice? This won’t be an in-depth review of features and performance (check out Zac’s take on the MacBook for an in-depth look), but instead, I’ve mainly focused on my personal experiences over the month I’ve been using it....

Going through three show-runner changes and having a very diverse panel of writers that are constantly shifting and changing, the show obviously has its share of inconsistency. There are many things that fans and outside people get wrong about this series, and that’s largely due to the fact that the marketing is often nonsensical and also the fact that it has been airing for over a decade with only two members of its original cast left....
