CHARLIE - PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER

Perks of Being a Wallflower is a 2012 indie classic, based on the beloved novel by Stephen Chbosky. Starring Logan Lerman, Emma Watson, and Ezra Koenig, these three play best friends in high school who are sick of their conformist town and can’t wait to get out. Yet their one saving grace in their conventional lives is the relationship that they all share with each other, filled with love and respect.

Charlie (Logan Lerman) is a total wallflower who is extremely sensitive and unafraid to experience all of the emotions that come his way. Sam, (Emma Watson), is a free-spirited party girl who helps Charlie come out of his shell. They both feel quite strongly about each other, and it’s clear that Charlie would do absolutely anything for Sam in order to make her feel happy and cherished.

BLUE - LOVE, SIMON

Love, Simon is a beautiful 2018 movie about a high schooler named Simon, who has fallen in love with an anonymous boy at his school who he has been texting and emailing back and forth with for an extended period of time.

The person who he has been talking with gives himself the anonymous nickname “Blue”, and he and Simon have beautifully deep conversations on a daily basis where they reveal their life goals and struggles with one another, sharing things that they have never shared with anybody else. It is a lovely moment when “Blue” finally reveals his identity, and the two share a romantic kiss on the Ferris wheel. It makes our hearts melt every time!

ROBBIE - VICTORIOUS

Robbie Shapiro was a sweetheart on Victorious, who only had eyes for Ariana Grande’s character, Cat. He loved her for her oddball personality even though most characters on the show found her strange behavior to be a bit of a burden. Robbie looked after Cat and their relationship was so pure and unique that we had to include him on this list.

He would go out of his way to help out Cat and make her feel good, even if it meant that he’d get nothing in return. Even if she would keep him stuck in the friend zone, (which she had for a while), he was just glad to be a part of her life. Robbie was a true friend, and eventually, a caring lover. He even wrote an entire song for her called I Think Your Swell where he confessed how much he loved her.  It doesn’t get much sweeter than that.

FREDDIE - ICARLY

Originally, Freddie was head over heels in love with his best friend Carly, but she would constantly turn him down because she only saw him as a friend. Eventually, Freddie realized that the person he really loved all along was right in front of his eyes the whole time, even though it took him some time to realize it.

Turns out, as we discover, the girl of his dreams was his “frenemy” Sam, rather than Carly. It’s adorable to see these two going from sworn enemies to love birds, and their first kiss is an incredibly awarding moment on the series. While some people are team “Seddie” (Sam and Freddie), other people are team “Creddie” (Carly and Freddie). Either way, he would be an excellent boyfriend to either of them because he cared so much about both ladies.

PETER - TO ALL THE BOYS I’VE LOVED BEFORE

Peter is not only described as “the handsomest boy of all the handsome boys” in To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, but he is also a genuinely kind-hearted person. Now that’s what we would like to call a total catch. He is fully committed to Lara and he is willing to make sacrifices for her in order to be with her.

Although the two are total opposites, (he is a popular extrovert while she is a shy introvert), their different personalities only work to lift each other up and become better people because of their relationship. He only has eyes for Lara, and that sounds like the ultimate “boyfriend material” to us.

FINN - GLEE

Finn Hudson is the perfect man for Rachel Berry on Glee, and their relationship was one filled with incredible selflessness and passion. They had the perfect mixture of romance and friendship to make their bond last the test of time. At first, their relationship started out with Rachel crushing hard on Finn and being very open about it, while Finn was in denial about his feelings for her.

It wasn’t until Finn heard her singing voice that he realized how much he liked her and he adored her ambitious nature. The two balanced each other out perfectly and they were a beautiful couple. You know the couple is strong when the actors who play the two characters start dating in real life!

JONATHAN - STRANGER THINGS

Jonathan seemed to love Nancy from afar on Stranger Things since the very beginning, admiring her beauty as well as her caring nature. Although he is known throughout the school as a “pretentious creep” and she is now a part of the preppy popular crowd, these unlikely characters join forces and go through so much together which bonds Jonathan and Nancy like never before.

After battling monsters, the two spend the night comforting each other, and everything changes after this night for good. Jonathan cares so much for Nancy, and he is willing to risk his own life countless times in order to save her. Couples who battle monsters together stick together, and these are just the facts.

JARED - BOOKSMART

Jared from Booksmart is quite the oddball, yet perhaps his strange characteristics are what make him all the more lovable. He is absolutely crazy about Molly, played to perfection by Beanie Feldstein. He’ll do anything to impress her, although, at first, it is hard for her to take him seriously.

Plus, she’s already got her eyes set on someone else. At the end of the film, she realizes that Jared is actually a really great guy and a total catch. Before delivering her graduation speech, Molly plants a passionate kiss on his lips and it’s so incredibly sweet as well as romantic.

 BEN - IT

Ben Hanscom is madly in love with his childhood sweetheart, Beverly Marsh, and his feelings for her have lasted for over 27 years despite the fact that he never gained the courage to admit his feelings for her.

He wrote her a beautiful poem that he sent to her anonymously, and she adored the way it made her feel. Although IT(chapters one and two) may be classified to the general public as horror movies, to us, these movies feel more romantic than any Nicholas Sparks film simply because of Ben and Beverly’s relationship.

BLAINE - GLEE

Blaine on Glee is the ultimate boyfriend to Kurt, and their relationship restores our faith in love altogether. Played by the incredibly talented Darren Criss, we are so happy for Kurt when he is finally able to find a boy who can make him happy.

Kurt had struggled throughout school in Lima because he was the only kid out of the closet, and therefore he was incredibly lonely in the love department. When he met Blaine, everything changed for the better and we have been rooting for them ever since.
